Bakers Arms

Baker's Arms is a district of Leyton, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The district is named after a pub which formerly stood at the junction of High Road Leyton, Hoe Street and Lea Bridge Road. The pub closed in 2010, and the premises now operate as a betting shop.[1] There are several food stores, pubs and cafes, and a variety of other retail outlets.

Bakers Arms is a hub on the London Bus network.[2]

The Bakers Arms pub was itself named after the almshouses approximately 100 yards further down Lea Bridge Road. These were provided for retired staff of the local bakeries.
